EZRentOut alternative
An EZRentOut alternative without the jump from $59 to $399
EZRentOut covers a lot of ground and comes from a group that knows asset management. If you hire equipment for a living and the next plan up is a budget meeting, here is the honest comparison.

Six things worth comparing
Both products manage rentals. They are priced and shaped for different sizes of business, and that is most of the decision.
-
Plan pricing
EZRentOut publishes $59, $399 and $499. Ours are $8, $20 and $35 on annual billing. Same job at the counter, very different monthly line.
-
The step between tiers
Outgrowing the entry plan at EZRentOut is a large jump. Our steps are $8 to $20 to $35, so adding a location or a fourth user is an operational decision, not a financial one.
-
Asset management breadth
Credit where it is due: EZRentOut sits in the EZO family alongside their asset and IT-asset products, and its general asset tracking goes wider than ours.
-
Repair workshop
We run repairs inside the same system — job, parts used, cost, days out of service — and an item under repair cannot be booked by anyone.
-
Deposits and damage
Deposits are tracked from held to returned or kept, with condition photos from handover and return attached to the contract.
-
Size of supplier
EZO is a bigger company with more reviews, more integrations and a larger support operation. We are a small team and our English-speaking support is not round the clock.
Where we are stronger
Priced for a hire desk, not an IT estate
Most of our customers run one to five locations and a handful of staff. The plans are built for that shape: users and locations included, repair and API in the plan, no separate line for the things you use every day.
- Roughly a third to a fifth of the monthly cost at comparable tiers
- Repair workshop, deposits and damage tracking in the core product
- Multi-location, roles and shift cash-up included
- REST API on Business and Pro with no extra fee and no booking commission
Where EZRentOut wins
When EZRentOut is the better fit
If rental is one part of a wider asset estate — internal equipment, IT kit, things that are checked out rather than hired — EZRentOut and the rest of the EZO suite reach further than we do. Larger organisations also tend to need the vendor scale that comes with it.
- You track internal assets alongside rental stock
- You want one supplier across several EZO products
- Procurement needs an established vendor with a long reference list
- You depend on a specific integration in their catalogue
Frequently asked questions
Why is the price gap so wide?
We are a smaller team selling directly, with no field sales operation to fund, and we build for small and mid-sized hire businesses rather than enterprise asset management. Less product surface, less overhead, lower price.
What do I lose on the $20 plan?
The Business plan covers three locations, five users and a thousand items, and includes the repair workshop, REST API and booking widget. If you need unlimited locations, users or items, that is the Pro plan at $35.
What does EZRentOut do better?
Broader asset management, a bigger integration catalogue and the weight of a larger group behind it. It also has a much longer public review history, which counts for something on a first purchase.
Can I import my catalogue?
Yes, from a spreadsheet: items, categories, rates and customers. Export from EZRentOut, send us the file if the columns do not line up, and we will map it before you start the trial properly.
Is there a contract or a card up front?
The trial is seven days with full access and no card. After that you pay monthly or annually and can stop when you like; the annual price is the one quoted on this page.
