Online hire bookings
A hire booking system that never promises the same kit twice
Availability worked out from real units rather than a stock figure. Bookings from your website, the phone and the counter all land in one calendar.
Free for 7 days. No card required.
One calendar, every channel
Double bookings happen when two people are looking at two different sources of truth. There is only one here.
-
Availability from real units
The system knows which unit is out, which is reserved and which is in the workshop. Availability is a calculation, not a number someone maintains.
-
Online booking widget
Drop it into your own website. Customers choose dates against genuine availability and the request arrives in your calendar.
-
Holds that expire
Reserve kit while a customer makes up their mind, with an expiry so it does not sit blocked for a week.
-
Kits booked as one thing
A set that always goes out together is bookable as a single unit, so nobody hires out half of it.
-
Out-of-hours enquiries
A request made at nine in the evening is waiting in the morning with dates already checked, rather than buried in an inbox.
-
REST API
If you would rather build the booking journey yourself, the API exposes availability, bookings, items and customers.
Double bookings
Where the promise actually breaks
The classic failure is a phone booking written on a pad while the website still shows the item as free. Once every channel writes to the same record, the overlap is refused at the moment someone tries to make it. The argument on collection day never happens.
- Counter, phone and web in one calendar
- Overlapping dates blocked at the point of booking
- Repairs and maintenance removed from availability
- Changes visible to everyone immediately
Your website
Bookings on your own site, not someone else's
The widget sits on your domain and takes bookings under your name. There is no marketplace in the middle taking a cut of the hire, and the customer relationship stays yours.
- Embed with a snippet on any site
- Shows only what is genuinely free
- Requests arrive with customer details attached
- Confirm, adjust or decline from the dashboard
Frequently asked questions
Do customers pay when they book?
The widget captures the booking and the customer's details. You confirm it and take payment at the counter, on delivery through the mobile app, or however you invoice today.
Will it work with my website?
Yes, if you can paste a snippet into a page. It is a standard embed and does not mind whether the site is WordPress, a site builder or hand-written HTML.
What stops a booking for kit that is in repair?
The workshop and the calendar share the same data. An item with an open repair job is unavailable everywhere until that job is closed.
Can we still take bookings the way we always have?
Yes. Phone and counter bookings are entered on the dashboard and sit in the same calendar. The widget is an extra channel, not a replacement for the desk.
Does availability cover several depots?
Yes. Each location has its own stock, and availability is answered per location so a customer is not promised something sitting sixty miles away.
