This template is a starting point for an equipment rental business. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for a contract reviewed for your jurisdiction. Consumer, insurance, health and safety, liability and late-payment rules differ between countries and equipment types.
Replace the bracketed fields, remove clauses that do not fit your operation and ask a qualified adviser to review the final document. Keep a signed copy with the booking and give the customer a copy before handover.

What should every equipment rental agreement include?
At minimum: the parties, equipment, hire period, price, payment, deposit, permitted use, care, return, damage, loss, late fees, insurance and signatures.
Can Rent in Hand fill an agreement automatically?
Yes. The product lets you keep your own contract template and fill it from the booking, customer, items, dates and totals.
